This improvisational patchwork is made from vintage and reclaimed fabrics in shades of blue, brown, and creams. Paisleys, florals, bits of silk, corduroy, and denim have been heavily quilted to give the quilt heft, making it heavier than a quilt of comparable size. The backing and batting are 100% cotton, stitch work is done in black, and shows heavily on the back of the quilt. This improv patchwork quilt made by rosy petri measures 92” x 48” and would be great as a large lap quilt or wrap. Each quilt comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Paradise Home is a pet-friendly studio space. In the spirit of my grandmothers before me, all quilts are made in my studio under strict supervision from my loving Boston terrier, Mojo. All handmade quilts have imperfections, and that’s what make them beautiful. All Paradise Home quilts are perfectly imperfect, and may be machine washed with care.

Washing instructions: Wash your quilt in cold water on delicate with dye- and perfume-free detergent, with the option of adding a Color Catcher at the beginning of the cycle. To dry: tumble on low to no heat until quilt is nearly dry, finish drying in fresh air.
